The new Lancer Evolution VII was changed to a completely new bodystyle for 2001, less aggressive styling and a revised cockpit adding more refinement and appeal for a new breed of customer, at the same time a more rigid body added to the overall build quality and improved the handling.

 




The rear spoiler has been enlarged and gone back to a body coloured single wing with 'adjustable attackangle'.

 

 

 

An improved engine and Turbo charger where introduced to increase the mid range torque and a new central active centre differential (ACD) assists the traction, whilst a three way selector allows the driver to choose between Tarmac,Gravel or Snow modes for different surface conditions.

 

 

Evolution VII retains the Active Yaw Control to enhance its cornering performance, a computor located in the back axle detects grip levels and distributes torque between the rear wheels according to the driving conditions.

 


An all new dashboard with extra dials and an ACD mode indicator shows the driver at a glance which mode the central differential is operating in.

 

 

 

Evolution VII had option packsges including sunroof Titanium Turbo Zenon Lamps.
